The Right Loan & FICO Scores!

Need help? You're not alone!

In a recent poll of buyers in Los Angeles, most people stated their #1 concern was finding the right home loan. Govloans.gov may be your answer! With the click of a button, tons of government backed loans are at your disposal! Now... if you're thinking.. "How do I know if this is right for me?" Everything from determining eligibility, viewing loan terms, and loan details are all right there! What more could you ask for? There are many lenders, of course! Everyone from Wells Fargo to Bank of America can also assist you in the process of finding the right loan... but before contacting them, do a little research on your own... Govloans.gov may be a good place to start!

Evaluating your credit score!

We've all heard the commercial, "free credit report.com," but once you run to your computer and hop online, you soon find out, freecreditreport.com is... not so "free!" Yes, another sign up and blah blah blah! Who knew?!

Now for the good news!! There really IS ,and I repeat, IS, a website to get your free credit report! Ah.. relief! annualcreditreport.com is a website setup by the United States Government that BY LAW allows you to order one free copy of your report from each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies every 12 months! If you dont' believe me, try it! PLEASE be aware of "Imposter" websites! These pesky little things seem to pop up and before you know it, you're at yet another sign up website similar to "freecreditreport.com" and you're thinking, "I knew it was too good to be true!" If you can't manage to get to the government website, the phone number is 1-877-322-8228 or complete the annual credit report request from ftc.gov/credit and mail it to:

Annual Credit Report Request Service
P.O. Box 105281

Real Estate Market Feeding Frenzy!

The real estate market is coming around!! Sales of the single family residence is slowly, but surely, on the rise! At my office (Keller Williams Los Feliz) in Los Angeles, my teammates are slinging out sales left and right! This is a buyers market! It's like a feeding frenzy, only there's enough for EVERYONE! Wanna bite? If you're thinking about buying, but have been on the fence for quite some time now, IT'S TIME! Get off the fence! BUY!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough! Banks are also starting to give us some breathing room, unleashing their tight grip on the hellacious holds that they've had on getting a loan! Getting a loan has never been a walk in the park, but lets just say, the wind is starting to blow and the clouds are clearing! It's a new day and the time is NOW! Are you ready yet?

Okay.. for starters, here are a few things you should consider doing before you contact a real estate agent. These are things that are going to make both of your lives a lot easier and to begin... start with these :
  1. Pre-qualify! And if you want to be really good, go ahead and get PRE-APPROVED! This is sometimes the part where home buyers go, um...... and walk away, but the truth is, you can't search for anything without knowing whether you can afford it. This not only helps you on your journey to becoming a home owner, but also helps your agent! If you are a serious buyer, this shouldn't be a problem. Once you've been pre-approved, you know how much you can afford to spend and therefore, can better assist you and your agent in setting a price range!
  2. Make a list of MUST HAVES! Remember, you'll usually find only 80% of your must haves in the home you decided to write and offer on. There's no perfect check list unless you get lucky or you buy a home custom to your wants and needs! This leads me to my next bullet...
  3. Make a list of DEALBREAKERS! Deal breakers are those that you WILL NOT HAVE! You refuse to have a home with these in it! Everybody has them, so go ahead... pick out a few ;)
  4. Get an agent!

And that pretty much wraps it up!

Get in there! Become a home owner! If you know a good investor.. get them involved! It's one of the most valuable assets to establishing long term wealth!
